Vivastream uses information we collect to recommend people and organizations to connect with, group members by topical interest, analyze how the Service is used, diagnose service or technical problems, maintain security, personalize content, remember information to help you efficiently access your account, monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors, traffic, and demographic patterns, and track user Content and users as necessary to comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and other applicable laws.
We may send you Service-related notices (including any notices required by law, in lieu of communication by postal mail), via email or to your Vivastream inbox. You can control receipt of certain Service-related messages on your profile page. Additionally, you may opt in to receive mobile text messages as your preferred communication method for certain types of Service-related and marketing communications.
We may also use your contact information to send you marketing messages. If you do not want to receive such messages, you may opt out by following the instructions in the message. If you correspond with us by email, we may retain the content of your email messages, your email address and our responses.
You also provide us information in Content you post to the Service. Your status updates, comments, and other contributions on the Service, and metadata about them (such as when you posted them), are publicly viewable on the Service, along with your name (unless the Service permits you to post anonymously). This information may be searched by search engines and be republished elsewhere on the Web in accordance with our Terms of Service.
If you choose to use our invitation service to invite a friend to the Service, we will ask you for that person's email address and automatically send an email invitation. Vivastream stores this information to send this email, to register your friend if your invitation is accepted, and to track the success of our invitation service.
Emails that are sent to friends include the ability to opt out. No friend information will be used for any other purpose than the delivery of the referral email. No additional contact is made with referred friends unless they choose to register for the Service.

As set forth in the Terms of Service, in order to become a Member, you must register and create an account with Vivastream. In creating an account, you agree to provide us with your name, email address, and other information. By creating an account on Vivastream, you allow others, including Vivastream, to identify you.
Vivastream will receive registration data from trade show, conference and exhibition organizers and event registration companies that agree to utilize the Vivastream platform for their events. This data will be shared with Vivastream and will require the user to activate their Vivastream account for use.
Third Party Services
Users registering with their Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn accounts may provide information available through the public APIs of those services.
In order to connect with others on Vivastream, you may use the Services to send invitations either to their Vivastream profiles or email addresses if they are not Members. The names and email addresses of people whom you invite will be used to send your invitations and reminders as well as to allow Vivastream to help expand your network. Please note that when you send an invitation to connect to another user of the Service, that user will have access to your email address because it is displayed in the invitation. You may not invite anyone you do not know and trust to connect with you.
We may collect information about the fact that you use certain features and functionality of Vivastream, interact with third party platform applications, click on ads, or participate in research initiatives like polling and surveys on Vivastream.
Vivastream uses session cookies to make it easier to navigate our Web site. Vivastream uses persistent cookies to recognize you as an existing user so you will not need to log in before using the Services.
You may reject Vivastream's session or persistent cookies, but it may impact your ability to use some aspects of Vivastream's Service.
In the course of serving advertisements or optimizing the Service to our users, we may allow authorized third parties to place or recognize a unique cookie on your browser. Advertising and Web Beacons
To support the Service we provide at no cost to our users, as well as provide a more relevant and useful experience for our users, we serve our own ads and also allow third party advertisements on the site. These advertisements are targeted and served to users, by both Vivastream and other companies, called ad networks. Ad networks include third party ad servers, ad agencies, ad technology vendors and research firms.
Advertisements on Vivastream may be targeted to users who fit a certain general profile category (e.g., "Mobile marketing experts in New York") or may be based on anonymized information inferred from a user's profile (e.g., industry, topical interests, social media preferences, gender, lifestage, or other aspects of the profile you have supplied) in addition to a User's use of the Vivastream site. Vivastream does not provide personally identifiable information to any third party ad network.
To increase the effectiveness of ad delivery, we may include a file, called a web beacon (GIFs), from an ad network within pages served by Vivastream. The web beacon allows the ad network to provide anonymized, aggregated auditing, research and reporting for advertisers. Web beacons also enable the ad networks to serve ads to you when you visit other websites. Because your web browser must request these advertisements and web beacons from the ad network's servers, these companies can view, edit or set their own cookies, just as if you had requested a web page from their site.
No personally identifiable information from your Vivastream account is collected using these clear GIFs. In addition, we may also use clear GIFs in HTML-based emails sent to our users to track which emails are opened by recipients. The information is used to enable more accurate reporting and make Vivastream better for our users.
Log files, IP addresses and information about your computer and mobile device
We collect clickstream data and HTTP protocol elements through access logs. This information is not personally identifiable and is used for website and system administration, including research and development, user analysis and business decision-making.
If you link your Vivastream account to another account or service, or use other, third-party sites or services in conjunction with your Vivastream account, we may collect information related to your use of third party sites and services accessed through Vivastream or when you access Vivastream through a third-party site or service.
When you publish your Vivastream activity to Twitter, LinkedIn or Facebook, this information will be viewable by the communities on those services (and in the case of Twitter, may be discoverable by search engines).
Rights to Access, Correct and Eliminate Information About You
You have a right to access, modify, correct and eliminate the data you supplied to Vivastream. If you update any of your information, we may keep a copy of the information that you originally provided to us in our archives for uses documented in this policy. You may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting Vivastream customer service. We will respond to your request within 30 days.
Obligations to other members
We may use the information we obtain about you to:
Provide, administer and communicate with you about events that you may want to attend, people that you may want to connect with, products, services, and promotions (including by sending you marketing communications);
process, evaluate and respond to your requests, inquiries and comments;

Non-Personally Identifiable Information: We may share non-personally identifiable information (such as anonymous usage data, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, number of clicks, etc.) with interested third parties to help them understand the usage patterns for certain Vivastream services.
Vivastream may allow third-party ad servers or ad networks to serve advertisements on the Service. These third-party ad servers or ad networks use technology to send, directly to your browser, the advertisements and links that appear on Vivastream.
Vivastream uses commercially reasonable physical, managerial, and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of your personal information. We generally delete closed account information within 90 days.
Note that content you have shared with others on Vivastream, or private messages you have sent through the platform, may remain visible and publicly accessible after you have closed your account or modified information on your profile. Your public profile may be displayed in search engine results until the search engine refreshes its cache.
We may allow advertisements to be placed on our websites by third-party organizations. Those organizations may collect web-reporting data on their placed advertisements.

Protecting the privacy of young children is especially important. Vivastream does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register with the Service.
